Two Houses Destroyed In Villa Fire

Monday 4th June, 2018-At least one person is homeless following an early afternoon fire in Villa that destroyed two houses and damaged a third.

St. John’s Fire Department responded to a call at around 1:15pm at Back Street, Villa. When they arrived on the scene, three wooden houses were ablaze.

The 30 x 20 and 30 x 30 structures were destroyed, while the third building received minimal damage.

At least two of the houses were unoccupied. No injuries were reported.

Fire Chief Elvis Weaver says an investigation has been launched to determine the origin of the fire.

All three houses were without electricity he was quoted as saying.
