Thursday 6th December, 2018-Keondre Herbert is in St. Vincent this evening where he will be recognized by the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) for his outstanding performance at the May/June sitting of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations.
Herbert wrote 20 subjects at St. Joseph’s Academy and secured 20 grade one passes.
His major accomplishment resulted in CXC naming him most outstanding overall in the region.
The official Opening of Council and the presentation of awards for outstanding performance in the May/June examinations are taking place at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown. Awards will be presented for outstanding performances in the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE), Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC), and the Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence (CCSLC).
This is the second time in three years that Antigua and Barbuda has produced the top CSEC student within the CXC territories.
In 2015, former SJA student Brandon Judnarine received the top regional award from for gaining 21 Grade One Passes and one Grade Two at the May/June exams.
