Monday 7th January, 2019-Thousands of students and teachers in private primary and secondary schools returned to the classroom this morning following the Christmas break.

Today marks the commencement of the second term in the academic year.

Mrs. E. Jonah Greene is Education Officer in charge of Secondary Schools in the country. She says from all indications, the term began on a positive note.

One critical area Mrs. Greene explains is special needs, where the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is ensuring there is adequate staffing to attend to those students.

The education official views this term as critical, especially for 5th formers.
