New Head at Substance Abuse Prevention Division

Monday 15th April, 2019-The Ministry of Social Transformation, Human Resource Development, Youth and Gender Affairs has announced that Feona Charles-Richards will head the Substance Abuse Prevention Division.

 Her appointment took effect February 1st 2019.

 Mrs. Charles-Richards replaces Mrs. Norma Jeffery-Dorsette who served in the position for over 13 years and is now retired.

 She holds a BSc in psychology and Sociology from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus and is a finalizing MSc Graduate candidate in Clinical Psychology, UWI Mona. She is a practicing Mental Health Practitioner with specialization in Neuro-linguistic Programming NLP and Mental Emotional Release (MER)

 Mrs. Charles-Richards believes that the department will continue to be a beacon of hope and rehabilitation within the Antigua and Barbuda Community. She also believes that it will continue to support our vulnerable populations in educating, managing and support services to recover from substance abuse.

 The Minister of Social Transformation Hon. Samantha Marshall and other officials within the ministry and the Substance Abuse Prevention Division have extended appreciation to Mrs. Norma Jeffery Dorsette for her services and support to Antigua and Barbuda and welcomed Feona Charles-Richards in taking on the challenge.
