APUA Recognizes Employees in Anniversary Celebration

Friday 5th July, 2019-Antigua Public Utilities Authority is recognizing two of its dedicated employees as the company begins celebration in observance of 46 years of operation.

Keithroy “Ishan” George has served APUA for 41 years. He began his career at the utilities company on September 6th, 1977; 3 years after the establishment of the Antigua Public Utilities Authority under the Public Utilities Act of Antigua and Barbuda. In a statement, APUA says Keithroy George, through commitment and diligence, has worked his way through the ranks and presently serves as Foreman ‘A’ in the Customer Services Department of the Electricity Business Unit, adding he is a well-known, respected and enthused member of the APUA family and a stalwart among his peers. Mr. George was presented with an award and a token of appreciation at the company’s Anniversary Thanksgiving Service at the Ebenezer Methodist Church yesterday.

Sandra Hunte was also recognized for personifying this year’s Anniversary theme, “Pride, Loyalty, Everyday…APUA”. APUA says she has performed consistently and takes pride in herself and the work she produces. Hunte demonstrates an incomparable pride in her work; exemplifies loyalty to the company and goes above and beyond each and every day.

APUA has also expressed gratitude to its customers for their continued support over the years. Today, customers received tokens of appreciation at the three (3) APUA commercial locations.
