Wednesday 10th October, 2018-Antigua and Barbuda’s Passport has been ranked as the 27th most powerful travel document in the world by Henley and Partners Passport Index.
The ranking is released annually by the company, and is based on the number of countries in which the passport can be used with visa free access.
With its 27th position ranking, Antiguan passport holders can travel to 150 destinations without a visa. That is up three positions when compared to 2016 and 2017.
On the Caribbean ranking, Antigua and Barbuda is fourth, behind of Barbados, Bahamas and St. Kitts and Nevis.
This year, the Japanese passport is ranked as the most powerful in the world, with visa free access to 190 destinations. It is followed by Singapore and Germany, which has slipped three places.
The United States and Canada are ranked 5th and 6th respectively.
