Tuesday 14th May, 2019-Funeral arrangements have been revealed for the late physician Dr. Sir Prince Ramsey.
The eminent family doctor and AIDS Advocate passed away on 3rd May, following a bout with stomach cancer.
His official funeral with military honours will be held on Tuesday 21st May at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. Tributes are set to begin at 1pm.
Cabinet accorded Dr. Ramsey an official funeral in recognition of his work in nation building.
Tributes have poured in from around the region and internationally, following news that 74 year-old Dr. Ramsey as he was popularly known had passed.
At home, Prime Minister Gaston Browne described the late doctor as “A superb physician who frequently delivered services to his patients at no cost and was recognized as a very generous and thoughtful caregiver.” He is also being remembered as a servant of the calypso community; where his contribution to the art-form was surpassed by no-one.
The prime minister added Dr. Prince Ramsey’s family can be comforted by the fact that he was well-loved by all, and that he lived a full life. His contribution to nation-building, to wellness, and to the development of the cultural life of Antigua and Barbuda is applauded by all.
